Saturday, May 16: Smiling and Dialing

Joe spent most of the day on his Passey Muir valve which enables him to talk so we were calling a few friends back East. Due to the time difference, we were only able to catch a couple at home but will try again. It is difficult to call Joe as he cannot pick up the phone and has to call a nurse to put on the head set unless I am there.  Just these few calls has added so much joy to his life. He has really missed his  conversations with all of you. 

He had a couple of visitors and expects a couple more tomorrow. Next weekend his brother, sister in law and niece will be visiting which will be a treat. Thank you again for all your support and friendship. Love Sandy & Joe
