Progress, January 19
Joe is continuing to make progress both in his movements and sensations. He has more core strength and can lift his arms higher. He is beginning to have more feeling in his hands and feet. The doctor today was very happy to see his progress although they feel it will be at least a year or so before he can walk. We are hopeful that we will know the date of the pump surgery soon. After the pump, he will spend a week at the rehab facility for daily therapy. That will be a good indicator of his progress. Will keep you posted. Sandy

Yussel, progress is a good thing so stay with the program. I only hope the baclofen pump is a real help & that it gets implanted sooner rather than later.
ReplyDeleteAll the best to you both.

Hi Joe and Sandy,
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear of every improvement. I really like the pics of Joe in physical therapy. Determination, determination, determination! Muzzy,Dave and I had such a nice time when we saw you last. Thanks Sandy for the goooood sandwiches!
The beer was tastey too! I gave Muzzy 13 lbs of various heirloom beans and a cookbook for Christmas. It was one of those self serving gifts you know. He's made 3 delicious things already. I'll see if I can get him to whip up something good and healthy for you.
Cheers,
mb
Beer AND sandwiches? I had to share a beer when last I was there. It was good however.
ReplyDeleteAnd heirloom beans means what exactly?...Antique farts? Hilarious!
And walking is so overrated. You just know that someone will ask you to carry something.
I think Mark Twain said that.
See you soon.
